What is the Pilates Method?

The Pilates Method, a movement practice, is a set of exercises on Pilates Apparatus or a mat. Pilates helps us become aware of bodies, with the help of bodyweight or Springs it assists in making us stronger in the body ;


Pilates helps us balance our muscles so we do not overuse muscles and then injure or re-injure ourselves. Pilates is a system of exercises that helps us manage conditions such as, and not limited to, Osteoporosis, back pain, shoulder, hip, and knee injuries,  spinal conditions, Osteoarthritis, or Arthritis, by enabling us to move well and move safely.


 Pilates equipment uses resistance for the benefit of challenging or assisting client stability, with client awareness and ability at the forefront. Over the years companies such as BalancedBody and PilatesEquip (TM) in Australia have undergone significant design and have taken into account the safety of clients and the functionality of the equipment.

Pilates in a studio with experienced staff holding Professional Pilates Method qualifications and registered with the Australian Pilates Method Association Level 2 + (APMA) is for anyone and everyone.

 To enable individual focus a Pilates studio only sees small groups or private clients.

 Vrinda has a Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction(1053NAT) (PITC).In practical terms, PilatesITC courses are recognized and endorsed by the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA): the national regulator for vocational training, in accordance with the VET quality framework. ASQA regulates quality standards, that’s why when you select an accredited course, you enjoy quality assurance.

A PITC training is a comprehensive Pilates Method training where many exercises remain the same as taught by Joseph Pilates (Classical Pilates), however,  some exercises and class structure have been adjusted in line with modern exercise science research.
