Vrinda is the Owner and Instructor @ShanthYogaPilates

Vrinda started working in the Australian Health and Fitness Industry from 2003, firstly as a Group Fitness Instructor teaching aerobics and mind-body programs to a predominantly healthy population based in Gyms across Melbourne, local Councils and small businesses. She initially completed a certificate in Mat Pilates (Level 1 Mat Pilates ) over a weekend which allowed her to work with clients that had no restrictions and health issues based in Gyms and Councils and soon realised that she was more interested studying authentic Yoga and Pilates, as the focus was more on an individual approach, a whole being, in-depth anatomy and clientele from all walks of life.

In 2009, she completed a higher Australian qualification in Classical Yoga ( Australian College of Classical Yoga,Blackburn) and followed that by two further high level Australian qualifications in the Pilates Method with a Government accredited RTO, National Pilates Training (Melbourne) that enabled her to teach the Pilates Method  on an individual focus  and teach the authentic approach to the Pilates Method, which is directly in line of Joseph Pilates, the founder of the Pilates Method.

After studying for over 4 years in Yoga and Pilates, in Australia, she started working for many Studios including Aligned For Life (CBD) and Das Studio Pilates (Fitzroy) and many others, teaching Mat Pilates to school children and Community Centres in Melbourne.

DSC7241Vrinda's main Pilates Method influence and style was shaped after working for Wendy Smith (VCA dance teacher, Masseur and Pilates Method teacher) for a year.  When at Wendy's studio, Vrinda mainly saw clients that had Neurological issues, Parkinsons, Osteoporosis, Spinal Issues, Seniors, Athletes, Ballet Dancers etc. Vrinda was introduced to Structural Integration, somatic teaching and Ida Rolf. Once Wendy retired & closed her studio late 2017, Vrinda decided to open her own studio and continue Wendy's great body of work with Seniors, anyone requiring Rehab, Athletes, Dancers or anyone that wants to experience the authentic Pilates Method.
